Lumni's Full Classrooms Funds are an innovative education financing vehicle in partnership with education institutions in Colombia, where the company was founded in 2002. The fund primarily finances graduate studies, and a limited number of undergraduates and bootcamp students.

Lumni is a pioneering social enterprise that originates designs and manages Income Share Agreement (ISA) funds for higher education financing in emerging markets. Founded in Colombia and now operating across Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, and the United States, Lumni has financed over 28,000 students to date. Lumni has received recognition from the World Economic Forum, Clinton Global Initiative, Ashoka, Endeavor, and UBS for its innovative approach to education financing.

Executive team:

  • Kira Gidron (CEO) holds a Master's degree in systems engineering and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Cornell University. Prior to leading Lumni, she worked at the Global Opportunity Youth Network – Bogotá and spent seven years at Accenture where she led projects on smart cities, Internet of Things, and sustainability. She brings deep expertise in social impact and innovation, with four years focused specifically on education and employment initiatives.
  • Felipe Vergara (Co-Founder) holds an MBA from Wharton and previously worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company. He was recognized by Ashoka as a Leading Social Entrepreneur and received the World Economic Forum Social Entrepreneurship Award for Latin America (2011).
  • Miguel Palacios (Co-Founder) authored "Investing in Human Capital" (Cambridge University Press, 2004), which laid the theoretical foundation for ISAs.
